Director of Development
Robin Bradford, Director of Development, joined the Brookside Repertory Theatre in 2002. She was born and raised in Southern California — although she never got the hang of surfing.
After college, Robin moved to San Francisco and had numerous exciting adventures as a lackey. She worked for a famous movie producer, a well-known criminal attorney, a government consulting firm, and a cheesecake factory. She started her first entrepreneurial venture at the age of 25 when she turned a hobby of making gingerbread houses for Christmas presents into a small business.
In 1980, Robin founded Bradford Staff, employing just herself and a part-time receptionist. The company grew to six offices, employing over 5,000 temporary employees annually. Today, Bradford Staff is one of Northern California’s most highly regarded staffing firms.
Robin has written two books about her profession, “The Joy of Job Hunting!” and “The Hire IQ”. Several years ago, she took up creative writing and has completed three screenplays, one of which has been sold to a Los Angeles/Toronto-based production company. Currently, she is working on her fourth screenplay and praying for an agent.
Robin’s community activities include serving on the Board of Directors of the San Francisco Opera and as a Trustee of The Graduate School of Business at San Francisco State University. She is a former Director of the San Francisco YMCA and the San Francisco Conservatory of Music; she was also Chairperson of Everyday, Inc. for seven years.
Robin and her husband have two incredibly talented and opinionated teenagers. Within the next five years, Robin’s goals are to have meaningful conversations with her adult children, to leave the business world behind, to become a wildly successful screenwriter, and to take first place in the Coronado Seniors Surfing Challenge.
